Blog Rush syndication network review

A lot of people people are blogging nowadays and a lot of people ask themselves the same question - “How the hell am I supposed to get popular?!“. Well, one of the best marketing tools I have recently stumbled upon is Blog Rush.
What is Blog Rush all about?
BlogRush is a free service that was created to help bloggers solve their #1 need:
More Readers For Their Blog.
Blog Rush has been created by an internet entrepreneur, John Reese. Blog Rush is the first site, ownership of the Income.com network, which CEO is mr. Reese.
How does it work?
In a similiar way Blog Rush works as an social media. However, the trick is that you don’t have to constantly bookmark your information and distribute it, network with other people, etc. It’s automated. Each registered blog gets it’s own widget (like the one on the left) and it distributes your content over the BR network. For this you need to earn syndication credits. Each credit gives you the right for your latest post to appear on the widget of another user. Technically, you have to send a bit of traffic to get yours back. Each time a visitor from the blog clicks on the widget you earn a credit. Fair enough, for each impression you lead to the Blog Rush network you get your blog content exposed on 10 “generations” of other blogs. Here’s and example: You have a widget and Merry has a widget on her blog, too. When I click-through your widget and go to Merry’s blog you will gain a syndication credit.
Thanks to this credit your latest post will appear on Merry’s widget and then on the widget of her syndicated user and on the widget if his syndicated user and so on, up to 10 generations of other blogs.
So far so good. You get a 10:1 ratio from your traffic. That means that if you reffer 10 people to the BR network you can get up to 100 new visitors from them. By the way, additonaly you will be provided with an affiliate link. I haven’t tried it out yet, but as far as I see it, you can gain traffic to you blog without actually putting on a widget.
Getting into the network
In order for the Blog Rush network to be efficient your blog has to correspond to their strict quality guidelines. So before registering (I’ve left a register link for you on the bottom of the article) let’s check-out those guidelines.
- The blog contains unique, quality content that provides opinions, insights, and/or recommended resources that provide value to readers of the blog. Articles, videos, public domain works, press releases, and content written by others are okay to be used on the blog, but the ratio of unique content should far outweigh content from other sources.
- The blog should be updated on a regular basis (at least several times a month) and should not just go a few months between posts.
- The blog should already contain at least 10-12 quality posts. New blogs with very little content will not be accepted.
- The blog’s primary content must be in English. BlogRush is currently not available for non-English blogs.
- The blog should not contain an excessive amount of advertising and links and very little actual content. The focus of the blog should be quality content.
- The primary content of the blog should not be “scraped” content from other sources and/or script-generated pages for the sole purpose of search engine rank manipulation. The focus of the blog should be quality content.
- The blog’s content (or advertising) should not contain any of the following types of content: hate, anti-racial, terrorism, drug-related, hacking, phishing, fraud, pornographic, nudity, warez, gambling, copyright infringement, obscene or disgusting material of any kind, or anything considered illegal.
- BlogRush reserves the right to determine if any blog is suitable for its network or not.
In order to be approved your blog has to comply with all of the guidelines. In the worse case scenario your blog will be refused. It’s not a big deal because you are not banned. You can resubmit your blog after 30 days again. But make sure you have improved you blog before resubmitting.
Get ready for it
I’ve provided a list below with the first few things I could think of, in order to optimize your blog before submission.
- If you have created a new blog don’t be desparate to submit your blog. Wait for it to get indexed, get some visitors through search engines and it’s at least on month old.
- For blogs with more than 20 posts - to some point it’s normal for your first few posts not to look as good as your last ones. In case you have started out with some scraped content and/or videos, they have to go.
- Make sure your last 5 posts are informative/useful and/or provided your personal oppinion or fresh information on your blogs topic.
- If you don’t have a posting schedule, make one. When your blog gets reviewed it must show that it will keep being updated on regular bases in the future.
- Another thing to do is to republish your posts from the last one. Make sure they show dates that say “Yes, I post at least one per week!”.
- Just as one of the golden rules of the internet goes - If you have gained authority and popularity already rules don’t count. So if you are a big fish, submit right away!
Note: don’t follow blindly my recommendations, decide whether these tips apply on your own.
Thanks for reading and good luck joining.
